In a bizarre crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the official release, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique weapons
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Addition

This release also introduces the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery." This humorous mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe introduces a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
