The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Warriors Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party reach areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
